About Performance
Fringe Festival 2026 | Fringe Underground
EQUUS: FORM + VOID is an immersive performance exploring the dialogue between two energies: the physical immediacy of Tai Chi and Chinese calligraphy, and the invisible forces revealed through augmented reality.
Created by ARtrio (formerly X-Art) in collaboration with renowned Tai Chi Master and calligrapher Henry Ho (Canada), the work brings together classical brushwork, deeply rooted in the Eastern understanding of qi, and specially developed AR technologies that visualise digital fields and flows. Under the same human consciousness, bodily movement, brush strokes, and digital vibrations resonate within a shared time and space.
Using the Horse as its central metaphor, symbol of the restless, untamed mind, the performance follows energy as it gallops across dimensions, seeking balance, awareness, and transformation.
Technologies developed by XRIM Lab at ISD, HKUST.
Free seating.
